All about the Mountain Madness.

This tour starts and ends in Vancouver and travels east via Manning Park to the Okanagan with its scenic views, green vineyards, lush orchards and Canada’s only desert.
The Kootenays are home to quant villages, snow-capped mountains and are dotted with natural hot springs.
You will visit five of Canada’s most treasured national parks: Mt. Revelstoke National Park, Glacier National Park, Yoho National Park, Banff National Park and Jasper National Park. The many provincial parks included in this itinerary are stunning too. A few examples are Manning Park, Mt. Robson Provincial Park and Wells Gray Provincial Park. Each park offers visitors unique experiences: from glacier-fed lakes such as Lake Louise, Peyto Lake and Maligne Lake, to thundering waterfalls like Athabasca Falls, Wapta Falls and Helmcken Falls, postcard-perfect mountains like Mount Robson and Mount Assiniboine, glaciers like the Columbia Icefield, rivers, etc.
From Lillooet, drive the Sea-to-Sky Highway and check out Whistler, a charming alpine village that became world-renowned as one of the sites for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Expect to see wildlife like bears, moose and elk along with thousands of species of plants, birds and insects.

  1. Day 1 Vancouver – Manning Provincial Park

    Today you are picking up your motorhome and after having stocked up on groceries, it’s time to leave the city behind for the great outdoors. The landscape in Manning Provincial Park varies from lush, thick coastal growth to dry interior vegetation. It is home to a variety of wildlife such as squirrels and chipmunks, marmot and beaver, the mule deer, black bear, coyote and over 190 species of birds.

  2. Day 2 Manning Provincial Park – Penticton

    Enjoy the spectacular scenery in Manning Provincial Park as you drive through the forested valleys of the Cascade Mountains. Today ends in the warm Okanagan Valley, famous for its wineries and fruit orchards.

  3. Day 3 Penticton – Nelson

    Make your way south along beautiful lakes, over rolling hills and enjoy the views. Follow the Crowsnest Highway via Christina Lake, the warmest lake in all of Canada, to the historic town of Nelson in the West-Kootenays. This town is the cultural centre of the region with many galleries and historic buildings.

  4. Day 4 Nelson – Revelstoke

    Drive to the steaming caves of Ainsworth Hot Springs. Then visit Kaslo and the silver mine of Sandon, now a ghost town. Follow the Arrow Lakes to the alpine city of Revelstoke, where you stay for 2 nights.

  5. Day 5 Revelstoke – Banff National Park

    The Trans-Canada Highway leads you past the steep canyons of the Kicking Horse Pass and through Glacier National Park. Make a stop in Golden, with some of the best rafting in Canada, followed by the beautiful Yoho National Park. Visit the impressive Wapta Falls and don’t miss Emerald Lake and Lake Louise.

  6. Day 6 Banff National Park

    Canada’s oldest national park is famous for its unparalleled mountain scenery and jagged mountain peaks. You have the full day to explore the park. Take the gondola up Sulphur Mountain, try the hot pools, stroll down Banff Avenue and check out the stores, visit Two Jack lake and Lake Minnewanka.

  7. Day 7 Banff National Park – Jasper National Park

    Drive one of the most scenic roads of the world: The Icefields Parkway. Stop at Johnston Canyon, Morant’s Curve, Bow Lake and Peyto Lake. Go up onto the Athabasca Glacier, the Glacier Skywalk and marvel at the thundering Sunwapta and Athabasca Falls. Our extensive En Route Travel Book makes sure you won’t miss any of the beautiful spots along the way.

  8. Day 8 Jasper National Park

    Lots to do around here: visit Maligne Canyon, Maligne Lake and Medicine Lake. Relax in the Miette Hot Springs. Take the Jasper Tramway up Whistler’s Mountain for endless views.

  9. Day 9 Jasper National Park – Wells Gray Provincial Park

    The Yellowhead Highway takes you through Mount Robson Provincial Park (named after the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies) and the Cariboo Mountains to Clearwater and Wells Gray Provincial Park.

  10. Day 10 Wells Gray Provincial Park

    Wells Gray Provincial Park is famous for wildlife (black bears, grizzlies, moose, mountain goats, caribou, wolves, cougar, etc.), waterfalls and wilderness. Check out Dawson Falls and Helmcken Falls, which plunge down into mist-filled gorges.

  11. Day 11 Wells Gray Provincial Park – Lillooet

    While driving on Highway 97 and 99, you can experience BC’s historic gold rush past. This journey takes you past historic buildings, through unique geological landscapes, and to parts of the original Cariboo Wagon Road that were used by more than 10,000 pioneers during the 1860s.

  12. Day 12 Lillooet – Fort Langley or Burnaby

    Drive through the scenic Coastal Mountains and stop at Duffey and Joffre Lakes with stunning views. Check out the mountain resort of Whistler. Rent a bike or kayak, set out on a hike or take the Peak 2 Peak Gondola. Then take the impressive Sea-to-Sky Highway along the Pacific Ocean. Lots to see and do along this route, from waterfalls, a copper mine to beautiful vistas, gondola’s and suspension bridges.

  13. Day 13 Fort Langley or Burnaby – Vancouver

    Today your tour comes to an end when you return your motorhome to the rental station.
