Depart from Vancouver and visit the wineries, the sun-drenched valleys, warm lakes, sandy beaches and fruit laden orchards in the Okanagan.
The Kootenays offer stunning mountain scenery and cute mountain villages.
You will visit five of Canada’s most treasured national parks: Mt. Revelstoke National Park, Glacier National Park, Yoho National Park, Banff National Park and Jasper National Park. The many provincial parks included in this itinerary are stunning too. A few examples are Manning Park, Mt. Robson Provincial Park and Wells Gray Provincial Park. Each park offers visitors unique experiences: from glacier-fed lakes such as Lake Louise, Peyto Lake and Maligne Lake, to thundering waterfalls like Athabasca Falls, Wapta Falls and Helmcken Falls, postcard-perfect mountains like Mount Robson and Mount Assiniboine, glaciers like the Columbia Icefield, rivers, etc., etc. The parks are chock-full of wildlife and home to bears, moose and elk along with thousands of species of plants, birds and insects.
Drive the world-renowned Icefield Parkway and Sea-to-Sky Highway. Visit unique villages such as Whistler, Golden, Revelstoke, Nelson, Banff and Jasper.
This route can be extended by adding a ferry trip to Vancouver Island. Visit the white sandy beaches of Parksville, drive the iconic Pacific Rim Highway, explore the rainforests and beaches of Pacific Rim National Park which falls along a migratory route for grey and humpback whales, walk through laidback downtown Tofino, eat a Nanaimo bar in Nanaimo and discover Victoria’s inner harbour and Butchart Gardens.

  1. Day 1 Vancouver – Manning Provincial Park (200 km/125 mile)

  2. Day 2 Manning Provincial Park

    The park’s pristine forests are lined with hiking trails. In the summer the many alpine meadows are carpeted with colourful wildflowers. No cell service, so you are off the radar. The perfect way to unwind and get away from it all.

  3. Day 3 Manning Provincial Park – Penticton (180 km/110 mile)

    Enjoy the spectacular scenery in Manning Provincial Park as you drive through the forested valleys of the Cascade Mountains. Today ends in the warm Okanagan Valley, famous for its wineries and fruit orchards.

  4. Day 4 Penticton – Christina Lake (208 km/130 mile)

    Make your way south along beautiful lakes, over rolling hills and enjoy the views. Follow the Crowsnest Highway to Christina Lake, the warmest lake in all of Canada.

  5. Day 5 Christina Lake – Nelson (116 km/72 mile)

    Follow the Crowsnest Highway to the historic town of Nelson in the West-Kootenays. This town is the cultural centre of the region with many galleries and historic buildings.

  6. Day 6 Nelson – Revelstoke (270 km/167 mile)

    Drive to the steaming caves of Ainsworth Hot Springs. Then visit Kaslo and the silver mine of Sandon, now a ghost town. Follow the Arrow Lakes to the alpine city of Revelstoke, where you stay for 2 nights.

  7. Day 7 Revelstoke

    Explore the Monashee and Selkirk Mountains around Revelstoke. See the Revelstoke Dam, go canoeing or drive the Meadows in the Sky Parkway to the top of Mount Revelstoke for great views.

  8. Day 8 Revelstoke – Golden (150 km/93 mile)

    The Trans-Canada Highway leads you past steep mountains and glaciers to Glacier National Park. Watch for mountain goats and bears along the road. Golden has some of the best rafting in Canada.

  9. Day 9 Golden – Banff National Park (140 km/87 mile)

    Today you follow the steep canyons of the Kicking Horse Pass into Yoho National Park. Visit the impressive Wapta Falls and don’t miss Emerald Lake and Lake Louise.

  10. Day 10 Banff National Park

    Canada’s oldest national park is famous for its unparalleled mountain scenery and jagged mountain peaks. You have the full day to explore the park. Take the gondola up Sulphur Mountain, try the hot pools, stroll down Banff Avenue and check out the stores, visit Two Jack lake and Lake Minnewanka.

  12. Day 12 Banff National Park – D. Thompson Nordegg (178 km/111 mile)

    Today you drive the world’s most scenic highway, the Icefields Parkway. Our En Route Travel Book makes sure you will not miss anything along the way. Visit the famous azure blue waters of Lake Louise and Peyto Lake. Moraine Lake and Johnston Canyon should not be missed!

  13. Day 13 D. Thompson Nordegg - Jasper National Park (199 km/124 mile)

    Continue on the Icefields Parkway. Marvel at the snowy peaks, icy-blue lakes and the famous Athabasca Glacier. See the Athabasca and Sunwapta Falls, walk on air on the Glacier Skywalk.

  14. Day 14 Jasper National Park

    Lots to do and see around here: visit Maligne Canyon, Maligne Lake and Medicine Lake. Relax in the Miette Hot Springs. Take the Jasper Tramway up Whistler’s Mountain for endless views.

  15. Day 15 Jasper National Park – Wells Gray Provincial Park (320 km/199 mile)

    The Yellowhead Highway takes you through Mount Robson Provincial Park (named after the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies) and the Cariboo Mountains to Clearwater and Wells Gray Provincial Park.

  16. Day 16 Wells Gray Provincial Park

    Wells Gray Provincial Park is famous for wildlife (black bears, grizzlies, moose, mountain goats, caribou, wolves, cougar, etc.), waterfalls and wilderness. Check out Dawson Falls and Helmcken Falls, which plunge down into mist-filled gorges.

  17. Day 17 Wells Gray Provincial Park (Clearwater) – Lillooet (290 km/180 mile)

    While driving on Highway 97 and 99, you can experience BC’s historic gold rush past. This journey takes you past historic buildings, through unique geological landscapes, and to parts of the original Cariboo Wagon Road that were used by more than 10,000 pioneers during the 1860s.

  18. Day 18 Lillooet – Whistler (130 km/81 mile)

    Drive through the scenic Coastal Mountains and stop at Duffey and Joffre Lakes with stunning views. Check out the mountain resort of Whistler. Rent a bike or kayak, set out on a hike or take the Peak 2 Peak Gondola.

  19. Day 19 Whistler – Fort Langley or Burnaby (170 km/106 mile)

    Drive the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway along the Pacific Ocean. Lots to see along this route, from waterfalls, a copper mine to beautiful vistas.

  20. Day 20 Fort Langley or Burnaby – Delta (50 km)

    Today your tour comes to and end when you return your motorhome to the rental station.
